Welcome to Little Chef’s Kitchen! Today we are making a fusion dessert. It was incredibly delicious and it was the first time I ever tried a no bake tart.
It was very easy and simple ingredients were required. Melt in mouth pudding with a slight touch of cardamom. Sounds like a delicious dessert, right?
A kicking taste of cardamom with a contrasting salt taste in the tart base. Absolutely beautiful how the flavors blended together. Let us see how to make it!
½ cup fresh cream
½ cup corn flour
1 cup milk
¾ cup coconut milk
½ cup sugar
1 tsp cardamom
A few strands of saffron
Chopped almonds and cashews
1 cup powdered digestive biscuits
¼ cup melted butter
A pinch of orange color
1 tsp gelatin powder
First, add the butter to the powdered biscuits. You can use any brand you have. I am using nutri choice. Give it a good mix so that butter is distributed evenly. If you want, you could also add a little sugar.
Take a tart mold (which is removable and separable from its bottom) and add this mixture to it. Spread evenly with your hands and make sure that it reaches until the edges.
Keep it in the fridge to set for 30 minutes. Then, add half quantity of sugar, cream and corn flour to a pan. Make a lump free mixture and also whisk in the regular milk.
Next, place it on the heat and whisk on low flame until thickened. Add the saffron and the food color if you want.
Add some chopped nuts as well. Cool it down and spread it evenly in the tart set before. Place in freezer for 20 minutes.
In the same pan, add the rest of the cream, sugar and corn flour. Instead of regular milk add the coconut milk and place on low flame. When well thickened, add the gelatin dissolved in a tbsp of water.
Also mix in the cardamom. Spread this evenly until the ends of the tart on the previously set layer. Place this in the freezer for 1 hour or in the fridge for 3-4 hours. Serve with a garnish of sliced cashew nuts!

Question of the day!
If you were to eat a tart/pie for a dessert after dinner today, what would you choose? Pumpkin, chocolate, butter scotch or even what I made, there could be endless choices!
