Welcome to Little Chef’s Apron! Today we’ll make something that is a wide variety of bakery that is the baked bread. This is the category where you can be incredibly creative to shape them!
1 cup all purpose flour
1/2 cup wheat flour
1 tbsp oil
Oil as needed to knead
1/2 cup water
1/2 tsp yeast
1 /2 tsp sugar
1/2 tsp salt, and other spices
Note: the healthy part is that instead of using butter and full flour we are using oil and combination of flour and wheat flour. Usually in breads like these , to make them soft, butter is used.
. First, in a bowl, add warm water, sugar and yeast, give it a good mix.
. Then cover it and let it rest for 10-15 minutes. If your yeast hasn’t become frothy on the top, then it means that the yeast is not activated and start with some fresh yeast.
. For the dry ingredients, add the flour, oil and the spices and mix it nicely. Because of the oil, there should be tiny knots in the flour like this:
. Now, add the water in this mixture and mix it nicely. When you think that it won’t make a huge mess, transfer it to a board and start kneading with oil as required.
. When is a smooth dough, it ll spring back when you poke it. Cover it with oil and let it rest for when it’s double in size.

Oil to grease the pan.
. First, divide the dough into the number of breads that you’d like.
. Now, it’s time to get as creative as you can. You can roll them out into pretzels, garlic knots, braids or something that strikes you as a bun.
. For the wash, heat the oil and the spices till it starts to boil. Then apply it on the dough you’ve rolled out.
. Bake this in a preheated oven at 180*C for 20 minutes.
. Serve it with any dip of your choice.
