Welcome to Little Chef’s Apron! This recipe is an instant one. The real one requires a lot of time and ingredients .Today we’ll make something that all Indians would know, how delicious and mouthwatering it is. For those who don’t, continue reading and cook along!
Burfi:
Ingredients:
1 cup milk powder
1/2 cup milk
1/4 cup ghee or clarified butter
1 tsp cardamom powder
4 tbsp flavour ( powder almonds, pistachio, cashews etc)
3 tbsp granulated sugar
2 tbsp chopped nuts for garnishing.
Directions:
. First, add ghee or clarified butter in a pan and switch on the heat . Let it me,t on low flame .

. Add the milk and give it a good mix. As the milk starts to boil slightly, add the milk powder in batches. Don’t add it all at once as then the mixture would be lumpy.

. When it’s all combined, add the sugar and flavouring.

Let this cook until it thickens up and started to separate the pan.

. It will start to hold its shape when you move it round .
. Line a tray( here I am using burfi tray) with butter paper and grease it which oil or ghee.

Transfer this slowly and with your spatula, make an even layer. At the start it would be a little sticky but as you keep doing shaping, it would form a even layer.

.Press the nuts in and cover it and leave it at room temperature for. 1 1/2 – 2 hours. It will harden into a creamy texture .

. Cut this into any size and shape you want and serve!
Do let me know if you have any requests for recipes in he comments and which flavours did you try out?
